      Verdict

James Fanshawe has his stable in great form and Reveillez, even though he is six pounds higher than for the latest of his two career wins, is taken to land the finale. Madiba, despite racing from out of the handicap, holds a chance if reproducing the effort that saw him finish three lengths behind the selection at Ascot last July but is now 13lbs better off. Ampoule's two career wins have come on the all-weather and others are preferred above him on turf. Leatherback is back on a winning mark but his best form has come with give in it. Pinchincha has proven consistent of late but is struggling to get his head in front. However, he is back on a winning mark so cannot be entirely ruled out. Team-Mate has failed to win since his three-year-old days and four runs since then have hardly proven auspicious. The only caveat offered for him is that he will be racing in first-time cheekpieces. He finished just behind Mowelga at this track last time. Lady Herries' gelding certainly has more than enough ability to win a race of this nature, but he would need to return to better form than he has shown in his last three runs. The all-weather winner All Business is hard to make a compelling case for given his handicap mark. It all points back to the topweight Reveillez.
