        Verdict

        The most valuable race on the card can go to the progressive San Antonio, the danger possibly being Dubrovsky. Barry Hills' son of Efisio has been raised just five pounds for a solid Pontefract win, and his career record now stands at two wins from four runs. He can improve again and land the spoils. Tuneful has been competing in Listed company but looks vulnerable off topweight. Related to plenty of winners, Dubrovsky needed his seasonal return after winning a Warwick maiden last season. He will improve on that and warrants respect. Aventura is consistent but his two wins have come on the all-weather. Tiber Tiger has won four times, but needs to improve again to land the spoils. He could well do so but remains open to a progressive type, and San Antonio fits that bill. Madame Marjou has been disappointing in two starts since a very promising debut run. It is conceivable that he will appreciate the drop back in trip today. Atahuelpa, trained by Paul Cole, could go well. Lightly raced, he won a Chepstow maiden last season, and will be sharper for his reappearance run. However, San Antonio is a likeable individual with the scope to improve further, gets the nomination.
