Verdict
The market will provide the biggest clues to a race that is dominated by well-bred newcomers from powerful yards. David Loder has made an excellent start to the campaign and Augustine makes plenty of appeal on breeding being a Machiavellian half-brother to a juvenile winner out of a Mtoto mare, who was a smart middle distance performer. It would be no shock if he proved good enough to make a winning start to his career while Aidan O'Brien's pair of Old Deuteronomy, who hails from the family of Rainbow Quest and Warning, and The Mighty Tiger, by Storm Cat out of a multiple Grade 1 winner, are clearly other smart prospects to note. Richard Hannon's juveniles always command plenty of respect so Venables is another to consider in a race that is sure to produce plenty of future winners.
