      Verdict

Stayers race at this time of the season have produced some strange results over the years and it would be no surprise to see the form book turned on its head after they cross the line here. However, Establishment has not had the hardest off campaigns this year and the mount of Frankie Dettori is forwarded as the selection in a wide open contest. Prins Willem, Almizan and Condolezza are others who will have their supporters and will not make it easy for the selection. Whereas the likes of Theatre and Sea Plume have a little to prove to even hint at each way hopes. Tom Paddington is another that has to be considered as a live danger after a close up effort in the Cambridgeshire two weeks ago. However, he is 2lb worse off with Establishment, whose stamina hit a wall inside the final furlong on that occasion. It is also significant that Dettori is keeping faith with Charles Cyzer's six-year-old, and a bold bid is anticipated from this familiar partnership this afternoon.
