Verdict
Previous runnings of this race suggest that recent form can be a good guide to go by so Estimation, Miss Izzy and Megan's Magic are respected in their claims and have to be considered. But the duo that make the most appeal are Barloti, who teams up with last year's winning jockey Robert Miles, and Mr Velocity, who comes here with an improving profile and just edges the vote today. Chris Connett knows this 70-rated colt well and has gone close on him already in maiden-company at Headquarters this season. The 7lb claimer looks to have a bright future ahead of him and, with trip and ground expected to suit his mount, Connett can steer Mr Velocity to victory if all goes to plan in a tricky finale to Friday's card at Newmarket.
