In depth
Verdict
A competitive field goes to post for the first with many in form rivals in opposition including The Sawdust Kid, Khayal and Baron Allfours and we will take a chance on the Sawdust Kid. The nine year old was a good second behind Julies Leader last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat in this less competitive affair. Khayal rates the main danger he was beaten a distance by the highly regarded Bodfari Creek last time. However there is nothing of that caliber in this contest and he is sure to run his race under conditions that suit. Baron Allfours is also worthy of respect after a fair third behind March North in a similar contest last time out. Corc An Oir could also go well but he gave the impression he did not stay this trip when third behind Diamondalternative. Of the remainder Tarpon Tale is from a shrewd yard but we are happy to side with the Sawdust Kid.
