FIVE OUT OF FIVE is the call with Alhaque and Red Twist likely to represent the biggest dangers. Evan Williams' gelding caught a tartar at Wincanton last time out but with a small field in opposition, he has an obvious opportunity to control the race from the front and he can atone for that embarassing odds on flop. Alhaque was notably quirky when trained on the flat but he was on his best behaviour when obliging at Ascot last time out. The issue will be as to how he will handle the small field today. Red Twist represents unfashionable connections though there was no fluke about his victory here over 2m6f. A well bred sort, he cost his owner just £1800 at the Ascot sales. Upstairs won a maiden on the flat for David Elsworth. He was some way below a number of these at this discipline but his new trainer has had winners during the summer period. Sobre Tresor and Ogmore Junction have a bit to prove on what they have shown thus far. Five Out Of Five has been found a decent opportunity.
