Verdict

Paul Nicholls inevitably does well in such contests and Young Buck is the latest addition to the ranks of hunter chasers in the yard. He'll be rightly popular but CRYPTO is just preferred for Venetia Williams and Lucy Turner. The gelding returned from over a year off to post an excellent effort at Carlisle in mid-March in a hunter chase and hopefully all is now well with him after a very stop-and-start time of things over recent seasons. He's worth taking a chance with. Moratorium was a well-beaten third at the Cheltenham hunter chase evening but it wasn't too bad an effort in the context of this race and he's respected along with Minimalistic who will receive good assistance from the saddle. Bbold is also a possible but the jury is out with him at present.
