Verdict

Stand By Me is lightly raced for his age and may be improving judged on his victory in a novices’ handicap over a shorter trip here in May. He’s had a break but is capable of going close again off a 6lb higher mark. Eddy was second twice at Uttoxeter at the start of the summer while Realta Dawn and Top Of The Rocks could figure from near the foot of the weights. PETRIFY has been beaten in sellers the last twice but this isn’t much better and he races off the same mark as when second at Wincanton in May over this trip. Bernard Llewellyn’s nine-year-old could go well at decent odds.
