In depth
Verdict
Pongee has been campaigned with typical expertise by her astute handler and is taken to complete a hat-trick at the chief expense of Analyze while Gabor and Tight Squeeze are others to consider. The selection is a well-bred filly and made a winning return over this trip at Yarmouth in April before following up in fine fashion at Lingfield the following month. There should be more to come from this progressive daughter of Barathea who still looks ahead of the handicapper at present. Analyze has been in fair form this season, winning at Newcastle in April, but he is fully exposed and appears vulnerable to an improving type while winning hurdler Gabor has struggled on the Flat of late and the fitting of first-time blinkers further dampens enthusiasm. Tight Squeeze looks held by the selection on Lingfield form while The Judge has been below his best this term and is readily passed over on this occasion.
