In depth

Verdict

Bachelor of Arts is taken to use his experience and open his account at the expense of newcomers Sion Hill and Prince Of Perles. The son of Stravinsky was all the rage in the market when lining up as David Loder's first juvenile runner of the season at Windsor back in April, but found one too good in the highly rated Mick Channon youngster Seneschal. That defeat was put down to greenness, but judging by the exploits of the rest of the team subsequently, he is fully expected to make amends. Sir Michael Stoute's Sion Hill is drawn on his inside and as the stable are in top form at present, he will no doubt make a bold bid to go in first time. Related to the likes of Barathea and Gossamer on the dam's side, he is sure to do better over further in time. Prince Of Perles gets a favourable mention from Alan Berry but will do well to take a hand from his outside draw, while Lady Sunset in contrast has the plum draw in one and is also well thought. Even so it is hard to escape the claims of Bachelor of Arts.
