Verdict
A tricky contest in which the well drawn Digital is taken to get the better of in-form Namroud and improving Santisima Trinidad. Digital made amends for an unlucky passage in the Victoria Cup when scoring at Lingfield the time before last but once again found trouble in running at Doncaster 11 days ago. He weaved his way through on the stands side to eventually finish a close second to the useful Mine who was scoring on the way to a crack at one of the big Royal Ascot handicaps. Digital may take the same route if successful here, and granted luck in running he should be too good for Namroud who has been in consistent form himself, chasing home Morahib at Goodwood last time. He is making up for lost time, having only made his debut this season as a four-year-old. Tim Easterby has his team in fine fettle and has given Santisima Trinidad a light campaign this term with a view to picking up one or two decent prizes. She too was unlucky here on her second outing of the season, losing her place before finishing to good effect behind Green Line and went into plenty of notebooks. Dani Ridge would be considered but has an awful draw, while Dandy Nichols pair Pieter Brueghel and Winning Venture have a bit to find at the weights.
