Verdict

THREE DUCKS is an interesting contender for a race like this and fits the profile as a Luca Cumani handicapper of note. Roar Of Applause is closely matched with Cabernet Sauvignon on a line through his latest start and these two can also be fancied to be on the premises. The latter was too keen at Warwick last month and wasn¿t given a hard time when his chance had evaporated. The handicapper has dropped John Hills' charge 3lb and he is beginning to look an attractive betting proposition. Roar Of Applause has won his last two starts in good style and may not have stopped improving yet. He picks up 6lb extra for his Chepstow success earlier in the week and it has to be noteworthy that he is turned out so quickly. However, Three Ducks is a likely type from the Cumani yard and, having shown she has willing attitude when she was last seen out, the daughter of Diktat can be fancied to rise to the challenge in this pretty modest company.
