Verdict
Jo'burg produced a remarkable run for new connections in the Cambridgeshire and a repeat of that effort would make him hard to beat, but PSYCHIC ABILITY looks to have got off lightly for winning at Sandown and just edges the vote. Godolphin's horse responded well to the fitting of a visor that day and the second-placed horse has gone on to win since, all of which makes a 2lb rise in the weights appear generous. His stablemate Roman Republic would have obvious claims on the pick of his form as he's now just a pound higher than when successful last term, but 2010 efforts have been poor and he's passed over along with Shavansky who had little excuse at Ascot. Oratory was ahead of him that day on his return from a break and is likely to run well, Bencoolen arrives in top form, Play It Sam could improve for the trip and Reve De Nuit represents shrewd local connections but he has plenty to find with the selection, Psychic Ability.
