    Verdict

Just 4lb separates the top five which reflects the tight-knit nature of this contest. Red Hot and Audarya came home second and fifth in a good-quality York handicap last time and there is no reason to suspect a turnaround in positions, despite the latter being better off at the weights. OJOOBA, impressive when landing a course and distance maiden here on just her third start, should have plenty more to offer although this does represent a first encounter with soft ground. She could well be the one if taking to the surface, though the in-form pair of Birdcage Walk and Teodora De Vega have no such ground concerns and are lively dangers.
