      Verdict

The only certainty in this race is that it will be run at a furious pace and composing a shortlist could almost take in half the field. Despite his low draw, Soaked has to be considered after his sterling effort from a seemingly impossible stalls position at Beverley last week. He has speed to burn when conditions are in his favour and as a previous course winner; he has to be on the list. The same sentiments apply to Mousehole, and he may well get one over on Soaked if the predicted rain does not get into the ground. He needs to hear his hooves rattle so any softening of the ground would seriously take the edge of what is potentially a decent draw. Danakim and Aa-Youknownothing will also ensure a furious gallop and have the ability to take a hand at the finish also.
