Verdict

Princess Lomi is given the nod here ahead of the consistent St Jean Cap Ferrat and the newcomer Solas Alainn. The selection comes here on the back of a fair third at Lingfield when she was stepped up to this trip for the first time. That was a pleasing reappearance and with improvement likely, she should be able to score today with the emphasis more on stamina. Loveofmylife should improve for this extra distance today but will need to, whilst Solas Alainn looks the more interesting of the two newcomers. His stable isn't renowned for debutante winners but this already-gelded son of Fantastic Light is nicely bred and therefore must be of interest if the market speaks in his favour. Dancing Sword can improve but will need to, whilst St Jean Cap Ferrat sets the standard but has had plenty of chances. Princess Lomi it is then who gets the nomination.
