Verdict
Sir Domino won on soft ground at Hamilton in May and was placed off today’s mark at the same track last week. But ESCALATING has also won in testing going and, having slipped down the weights, Mike Appleby’s charge ran well for third at York last time. He gets the vote to return to winning ways ahead of the lightly-raced Times Legacy, another with form on today’s going and expected to improve for last month’s reappearance at Haydock. Ormskirk is preferred to the more exposed pair, Heartsong and Clubland, on last year’s placed effort in soft ground at York.
