Verdict
Elegant Shadow is on a retrieval mission and is the pick ahead of Cayman Sunrise and Saada One. Elegant Shadow shaped quite well as a two-year-old and was expected to pay her way when finally reappearing at Salisbury in June. Maybe it was the lack of an outing but she failed to find another gear when passed by Golden Heart. However, she was then turned over at Chester when sent off as an odds-on chance and one or two pundits would no doubt give her a wide berth here. However, we reckon that it was the tight track rather than the bounce effect that beat her, and Roger Charlton¿s filly gets the chance to prove us right, as she should now be spot on. Cayman Sunrise also left the money in the bookies¿ satchels last time when well beaten at Goodwood, but the suspicion was that she was in season, and she too can step up a gear. Saada One has the assistance of Kieren Fallon and should come on for her debut at Windsor where she did not get the best of passages. However, she still has a bit to find with Elegant Shadow who gets the vote.
