Verdict

Blakeshall Quest is the pick over Medusa, Lady Justice and Gojo to name but three. Blakeshall Quest lines up as the form horse, having won two of her last three outings, and with Darryll Holland back in the plate, has leading claims. She has been performing with credit on the all-weather, and as her trainer pointed out that she needs soft ground to be seen to best effect on Turf, the recent rain can only add to our confidence in the four-year-old who will come out of stall four. Medusa is drawn on the stands side and has an absence to overcome, along with joint topweight, but showed a bit of ability last season and can go well on her return with Johnny Murtagh booked to ride. Lady Justice is a similar sort but has a low draw that might help, while Gojo, who fared best of the stands side group on her handicap debut over the track and trip a fortnight ago, is another to consider. She makes appeal as an each-way chance, but Blakeshall Quest is preferred as the likely winner.
