        Verdict

        SOTTSASS will be at very short odds here which is hardly surprising given his outstanding three-year-old campaign. He began with a moderate run behind today's rival Shaman here in April but went from strength-to-strength subsequently, landing the French Derby and a Group 2 here before a brilliant run in the Arc behind Waldgeist and Enable. Shaman didn't win again but ran some fine races at the highest level and could provide the main threat. The filly Soudania didn't enjoy heavy going on her attempt at a five-timer here in October while Simona landed the Group 3 Prix Ebury at Saint-Cloud in March though she had a fitness advantage over Way To Paris, who could turn the tables and snatch a place.
