In depth

Verdict

Contas, Dawton and Wyn Dixie are three against the field in this novices hurdle and the vote goes to Contas. The selection was a fair sort on the flat in his native Germany, he is surer to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and with conditions in his favour he is taken to open his account at there first time of asking. Dawton rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Flame Phoenix but that was a poor race and he will find this harder under his penalty.Wyn Dixie is another that could go well he was a fair second behind Stage By Stage last time and this looks easier so he will not be far away. Of the remainder Hattington id from a top yard who was a winner on the flat so is worth noting in the market but he may be seen to better effect over a longer trip and for the winner we return to Contas.
