Verdict
A very poor contest here that can be taken by bottom weight No Sam No, with Mr Laggan, Nisbet and Clownfish potential challengers. No Sam No, runs off a mark of 69 and gets a very handy 10lb from everything else in the race. Very much a three mile plodder, the selection does at least stay and handle faster ground and with the weights very much in her favour, she can score. Mr Laggan is one of those to have suffered with the weights here, but he is another who likes a sound surface, jumps well enough and will certainly see out the trip. He can chase home No Sam No for second. Clownfish makes his first appearance for 18 months and will therefore be as fresh as a daisy. However, the ground has gone against him here and though he could go well, is perhaps best watched. Of the remainder, Nisbet looks place material off this mark, and though he is also a one-pacer, he will still be going when others have cried enough and can stay on for some prize money, but the suggestion in a race where heavy involvement is not recommended, is No Sam No.
