Verdict

A weak-looking novice contest that can be taken by course winner Karju, with the unexposed Words And Deeds perhaps the one to chase him home. Karju showed a good level of form here when landing a hurdle over half a mile further last month beating Salmon Ladder by a very easy six lengths. The drop back in trip should not be a problem and he can provide Tony Dobbin with another win at the track if reproducing anywhere near that level of form. Richard Fahey-trained Words And Deeds looks to be the most interesting of his opponents here. Rated as high as 70 at best on the flat, the Shadeed gelding was second here on his hurdling debut recently and with improvement expected for that experience, he can be the one to chase home the selection. Of the remainder Celebration Town and Gone Too Far look to be the best placed to take advantage of any mishaps to the other pair. The former is joint top weight here as a result of his recent win and will find this more difficult, while the latter has also been running well and could again claim a place, though the vote has to go to Karju.
