      Verdict

On paper this looks to be one of the more competitive races to solve at Perth with several of the 10-runner field holding claims. Gaia Grey battled well to get the better of Trumpington at Worcester last month and off just a 2lb higher mark has every chance of following up. Topweight Knockholt has been dropped to a more favourable mark after a below par effort behind Divet Hill (runs in the 2:25) last time and is another worthy of a mention, especially with the Lungo stable in such good form. Rakaposhi Raid looks exposed but has dropped to a favourable mark and instead the TEAMtalk vote goes to Reasonable Reserve. Although seemingly no great shakes in Ireland, Charlie Swan does not send his runners over to Britain unless he fancies their chances so the hint is duly taken from this very shrewd yard.
