    Verdict

A race that doesn't look to be one for the video recorder. Father D is little better than plating class but took advantage of a soft lead to take a modest contest at Exeter. Bob Buckler looks to have found him a similar opportunity and we will side with him again to follow up. On that run, Balakar looks held. Gemi Bed is a moderate middle distance performer on the all-weather and should be fit. Gary Moore's charge did have bits and pieces of form at Huntingdon as a juvenile so it would be folly to immediately discount her. Elvis is the one to watch in the market. He did have some form on this surface a while back and Lawrence Wells is at least sending out the odd winner. Once rated 109 over hurdles, he could go in if the market speaks. Compton Chick will probably win a couple in the Summer but is watched following a six-month absence.
