Verdict

Shining Romeo won at Huntingdon when last seen in May but all three of his victories over hurdles have come on that track and he was beaten by Regulation at Kempton earlier when 2lb better off. Neil King’s charge, second at Newton Abbot earlier this month, should be thereabouts here but MELODY OF SCOTLAND, though still seeking a first victory since arriving from France, ran her best race so far for Alan King when runner-up at Worcester and is unlikely to be fazed by the drop back to 2m. Solatentif is less certain to be suited by this shorter trip but the others may have a bit to prove at present.
