Verdict

ALFA DAWN was placed over a mile here on her belated seasonal reappearance. She has every chance on today’s terms and with the extra distance likely to bring improvement, Phillip Makin’s filly gets the vote. No Dress Rehearsal shares the same rating as the selection and can be forgiven a below par effort in testing going over 1m6f last time while Lady Scatterley and Frankadore also have a shout at the weights with the former preferred on her recent second in a handicap at Beverley. Flying Raconteur and Knightly Spirit have bits of form though both are conceding weight to the younger horses.
