Verdict
Having finished last in his two previous attempts, Attacca responded well to the fitting of cheekpieces when finding just Rising Shadow too good at Newcastle last time but they may not have the same effect here so we side with Megabond, who gets the vote over Whistful. The selection has improved with each start and looked as though the extra furlong would suit when a staying on second to Enchantment at Carlisle last time. Whistful, who is rated 10lbs inferior to the selection, has to be respected but needs to improve to take a hand. Amber Fox has claims on the evidence of her length second to Parkview Love at Hamilton in May but has shown very little since and of more interest could be Game Flora, who has shown steady improvement but Megabond has obvious claims and gets the vote.
