Verdict
Icenaslice made a pleasing debut over seven furlongs at Newcastle but, along with Wizard Looking, may not appreciate the drop in trip to this, admittedly tough, six furlongs and we prefer to side with Alice Blackthorn, who has a progressive profile. Brian Smart's filly has run well in better company than this of late, including when a close fifth behind the Barry Hills-trained Model Figure at Redcar last time and looks to have been found a decent opportunity. Troodos Jet failed to progress from his debut second to Great Scott when well beaten behind the same horse in a better race at Beverley when last seen in June and is probably best watched today, while Sachin was well held behind Khabfair on the Polytrack last time. Bobby Elliott's Lady Bahia has shown signs of ability but seems booked for a place at best in a race that is expected to go to Alice Blackthorn.
