Verdict
A potentially trappy little contest here where we will take a chance with Go Tech to outpoint Adaikali, Masafi and James Caird. The selection carries bottom weight here but ran really well off this mark when runner up to Diego Cao at Sandown the other day over this trip. He acts well on the ground, runs here before going up in the weights and his yard continue to have winners, so he looks worth chancing with doubts about the others. One of those is Adaikali. He will have his supporters coming from the connections ho does, but he will need to settle much better than he did when thrashed at Newmarket last time. If Fallon can get him to do that then expect another decent run from this mark, to on balance he has a bit to prove. Masafi has enjoyed the Sir Mark Prescott treatment this summer, winning seven off the reel before finally being found out by the handicapper last time. Nevertheless he was not beaten far and cannot be totally ruled out. Of the others James Caird is admirably consistent but keeps finding one or two too good and the same looks likely here, so we will stick with Go Tech to land the prize.
