In depth

Verdict

The last six renewals have seen two 25/1 chances and a 33/1 successful. Plenty of interest from the UK here as Philip Hobbs sends the progressive Musical Slave for a hat-trick bid, though his two victories in March came over the minimum trip. Nicely Indeed is another on a three-timer for Philip Kirby though he went up 12lb for completing a Sedgefield double. Duc De Beauchene hasn't had much experience but David Pipe wouldn't be sending a Plumpton winner here without good cause and he could be well handicapped. Ballyhome stays the trip well, as he showed when scoring over 2m7f at Market Rasen, and could be the pick of the raiders. CONRON has been here twice and won both times. He's never been over the trip but easily won a Flat handicap over 2m at Clonmel on his reappearance a couple of weeks ago and, with his yard in excellent form, can continue his progress. Stable companion Press Conference makes his handicap debut after just two runs over timber and this looks tough.
