      Verdict

Xcelente knew his job at Thirsk and beat Il Maestro more than three lengths with KIDDA a further three-quarters-of-a-length away in fifth. But the latter completely blew the start and then ran green before staying on in the closing stages. With a 6lb turnaround in the weights with the winner and this stiffer track likely to suit, the Fahey youngster could come out on top today. Tony Hamilton prefers him to newcomer Corndavon Lad but She Looks Like Fun could be interesting as she’s by Kyllachy and the first foal to race of a 5f Listed winner.
