Eleven of these have already run this week. Three By Two beat Vital Island three lengths over the trip on Tuesday with Subset a further 14 lengths behind and Jet Fighter, due to run yesterday, well back in sixth. Vital Island went one better over 4m2f on Thursday when he beat Stealthy Tom a neck with Blast Of Koeman 14 lengths behind, Midnight Maestro beaten a further nine lengths, and Western Sea, Alpha Male and An Droichead Eile all well beaten. Mortal pulled up apparently lame so appears unlikely to run. Hurricane Darwin won this last year, his only success in 18 starts on the track. He's won over hurdles and regulation fences subsequently and ran in a Grade 2 at Navan last month. BIRCHDALE won a Grade A handicap at Leopardstown just over a year ago and has run in much stronger company the last twice. He would be the one to beat if taking to the obstacles though Plan Of Attack has been placed over the banks course at Cheltenham.
