Verdict
Aione dropped back to 2m4f to score at Cork and isn't certain to stay this marathon trip but the consistent My Design ran very well when stepped up to 3m4f at Downpatrick and looks a threat to all. History Of Fashion has gone well when tackling three miles but has failed to finish the couple of times he's attempted marathons. MERCURY LANE (NAP) has never been beyond three miles but scored over the trip over hurdles and was carrying a big weight when narrowly beaten over a trip too short at Wexford. Everglow was well beaten when tackling 3m5f at Fairyhouse in December while Velvet Elvis pulled up in the Grand National but his close sixth in last year's Irish National suggests this trip won't be a problem.
