Verdict
In a very open nursery The Pen, Majestic Movement and Breaking Shadow are our three against the field, with the vote going to The Pen. Pat Haslam's filly landed a seller over the six furlong trip here in August, and relished the step up to seven next time when finishing a close second to Caitlin in a nursery. Today's distance may bring out even more improvement and she looks the one to beat. Breaking Shadow finished a close up seventh in a similar event to this at Catterick last time and may be good enough to get into the places. However the main threat to the selection could be Majestic Movement, who put up a much improved performance to finish third to the smart Ayam Zaman at Pontefract last time. Alzahara and Grand Welcome are two others worthy of a mention, but this longer trip should suit The Pen and this one is taken to land the spoils.
