Verdict
It is hard to get away from the chance of Richie Boy, who is a confident choice to beat Indio Ano Star and Always Flying. Paul Blockley's colt relished the heavy conditions when accounting for a competitive field in an apprentice handicap at Nottingham last time. With ground and trip in his favour again today he could prove difficult to beat. Always Flying drops to selling company for the first time and if the ground doesn't prove too much of a hindrance he should figure in the finish. Indi Ano Star has taken on much better opposition during the summer and should go close if fit following a four month holiday. The rest make very little appeal, so it looks a good opportunity for Richie Boy to make it back to back wins.
