Verdict
This has the makings of a tight affair and, from a shortlist of Most Definitely, Best Port, Distant Cousin, Colway Ritz and Spitting Image, we'll opt for Spitting Image. The selection ran poorly at Ripon last time but, if you can forgive that, his current rating is not far removed from a winning one so his chance is there is for all to see. Best Port is a course and distance winner who should go well and, given that he is closely weighted with Most Definitely and Distant Cousin on recent course and distance form, they can run well too. Add into the mix Colway Ritz, who was just beaten by the in-form Circassian last time, and, as we say we have a close affair on our hands. Best of the bunch might prove to be Spitting Image.
