In depth
Verdict
Billiard has plenty of scope to progress and can score on her nursery debut, with Almond Willow and Hearthstead Dream on the short-list as well. Although this is only her second run, Roger Charlton's filly has already visited the winner's enclosure when getting up near the finish at Brighton recently. She deserved that after her rather unlucky passage at Chepstow, and should improve enough to take this before going on to better things. Hearthstead Dream has an absence to overcome but a promising second at Musselburgh in June augurs well. Almond Willow is one to keep on the right side of as well, as he takes a slight drop in class after his third in a Windsor nursery. Blue Empire and Infidelity have more to do but it would be no surprise if Eboracum were to sneak into a place off bottom weight. From what we have seen so far though, Billiard appears to be the answer.
