Verdict
In a tricky maiden, Sentry gets a narrow vote over stablemate Dombeya and Naswan Star, with Henry Cecil's pair also to be considered. Sentry has had just the one outing this season, a promising second at Newbury in April and has been absent since. The step up in trip that day did not bother the John Gosden inmate who, if fit enough, can run a big race. Stablemate Dombeya was seen running on at the one pace at Chester in August and might not appreciate the drop back in trip here. Henry Cecil sets a poser by saddling two newcomers, Fine Palette and Calonnog, while Roger Charlton introduces Crystal Choir. A bigger danger though may be Nashwan Star who has been nothing if not consistent this term and has a lot more experience than most of her rivals here. For the selection though we return to Sentry
