Verdict
Five Amarones is the only winner and his victory was gained on ground with plenty of give at Thirsk though it will be a surprise if he's good enough here. Beaufort showed the benefit of his opening run with a much better effort on heavy going at Ayr but Iron Mike looks as though he needs further though will be suited by the conditions. Jimmy Greenhough, a half-brother to five winners, showed plenty of pace on his debut on this track but the vote goes to DASHED. Roger Varian's filly looked in need of the experience at Yarmouth and didn't quite get the run of the race but showed plenty of potential and can get off the mark. Dal Horrisgle has a very smart middle-distance pedigree and is one for next year but should have enough pace to make his presence felt.
