In depth

Verdict

Loughlorien, Bowling Along and Frimley's Matterry are three against the field in a wide open affair and the tentative vote goes to Loughlorien. The selection was a fair fourth behind Blue Maeve last time out. The step up in trip will suit and with conditions in his favour he is taken to score. Bowling Along rates the main danger he was a fair second behind Dellagio last time but he gave the impression he would be suited by a longer trip and for that reason he is oppose. Frimley's Matterry was a fair third behind Zietzig last time and a reproduction of that effort would give him definite place claims. Golden Spectrum ran as if returning to form when third behind Jubilee Street last time. He is from a shrewd yard and any market confidence should be noted. Of the remainder Royal Windmill is from a yard in form and is another that could go well but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Loughlorien.
