Verdict
A high class contest which is liable to be a very tight affair, but Forever Phoenix gets the vote. Bali Royal is more of a five furlong performer but drops down to handicap class after running in listed company of late and may benefit, while Dowager¿s excellent third to Pastoral Pursuits at Newbury was a marked improvement on earlier efforts and she has since reverted to earlier form. Speed Cop holds every chance-having finished second in a conditions event at Lingfield, he then finished a good third to Ringmoor Down in a Listed contest at Bath, before being outclassed in a Group 2 last time. Fruit of Glory is another who should be thereabouts, having won at Nottingham, she was only beaten a length at Newmarket by Kind. Forever Phoenix ran badly at York but has since turned in two fine efforts. Perhaps flattered to get so close to Airwave at Ayr, the Shareef Dancer filly was a good third to Baltic King at Ascot and that form should be good enough here. Forever Phoenix is the selection.
