Verdict

Andorn's winning run came to an end when beaten by Los Nadis at Musselburgh when last seen in June but Phil Kirby's six-year-old is still only 1lb higher than when successful at Beverley previously so he has every chance of resuming winning ways but it is hard to get away from DROP THE HAMMER. David O'Meara has done well with his runners since taking over from James Hetherton and the filly should appreciate the return to 1m6f here having won over course and distance two starts ago prior to being outpaced over slightly shorter on a softer surface at Catterick last time. Tim Easterby's Escape Artist is likely to find this tougher than the maiden handicap that he won at Beverley last time, while Martin Todhunter's Word of Warning remains a maiden on the flat but did win over hurdles last month.
