In depth

Verdict

GOLDEN PARADE and Betsey Trotter both arrive on hat-tricks and there is probably little to separate the pair on the form book but the former is only a three-year-old so may have a little more scope than her older rival and gets the vote. The latter’s yard also run Laubali, who will be all the better for his third at Wolverhampton but is 0-8 on Turf. Veteran Lucky Beggar hasn’t won in a grade this high in more than two years but Equiano Springs is capable at this level are rarely runs a bad race. Mr Wagyu continues to slip down the weights but has been well below his best so far this year.
