In depth
Verdict
This looks a very weak maiden and Miss Thailand could be up to landing first prize, Jember Red and Spinning look to be the main dangers. Geoff Wragg's filly wasn't beaten far on her juvenile debut last September and has contested a couple of decent maidens this season. She looked to be going the right way when just four lengths behind Lady Stardust at Newmarket last time. The form has been given a boost by the third horse home and so Miss Thailand looks the obvious choice today. Spinning is turning into a very frustrating customer but he has strong claims on the pick of the season's form and in this company he will be hard to keep out of the frame. Jember Red, a well bred daughter of Polish Precedent, hasn't raced since making a promising Thirsk debut last September. If fit she could be involved in the finish. The rest of the field have very little to recommend them and so we return to Miss Thailand as the likely winner.
