The first-time blinkers can bring about the extra effort required from Harvest Warrior to improve on his gallant third in the Spring Mile on his reappearance. Mezuzah and Emerald Bay have to be respected as major players on recent form; while Rio Riva still has scope to improve and is worth noting in the betting market. The same has to be said of Emerald Bay, who is a consistent type that appears versatile regarding his ground preference. He is in good form and can be backed to at least make the frame today. Mezuzah was comfortably in front of the selection in the Spring Mile and rates as the main threat on that form. However, he is off an 8lb higher mark today and needs to be at the top of his game. Therefore, we switch attention to Harvest Warrior, who is due a break after a series of near misses. The headgear may well provide the key today and, at the likely odds, Tim Easterby's charge is fair bet in a wide open contest.
