In depth

Verdict

The three to concentrate on in this handicap look to be Penang Cinta, Seyaadi and Alberts Story, with the vote given to the last mentioned. The selection was disappointing last time at Carlisle in an apprentice handicap when he simply did not run his race. He went off as joint favourite that day on the back of a good effort at Beverley when he was third behind Paraguay. The yard are in good form so he looks worth another chance here and he is the tentative pick. Penang Cinta finished fourth in a lady amateur riders' race last time which was a fair effort, but he might be slightly better over a longer trip than this and we will pass him over today. Seyaadi looks to be on a fair mark at present and he shaped with encouragement last time at Newcastle when he was fourth behind Trouble Mountain. Holiday Cocktail is a capable performer on his day but he appears to have gone off the boil, and we will stick with Alberts Story as the pick.
