    Verdict

Recent Times is a speculative selection to land the finale on her handicap debut. Fifth last time out over the sharp five furlongs at Doncaster, the form of her third on Catterick on her penultimate outing was given a boost when the second Leonid Glow won a similar contest off the same mark. Tangerine Trees is another handicap debutant that deserves respect. He drops back to five furlongs for the first time here. High Window has not scored yet in 25 attempts and is a place contender judged on his second behind Saville's Delight on the fibresand in January. Tugalu showed promise in maidens last season and as a result the handicapper awarded him a mark in the 70s which now appeared rather steep. Recent Times is awarded the vote to land the finale.
