Verdict

This looks a trappy maiden as the three key contenders all look interesting. Knightswood's sole run as a juvenile was full of promise when the son of Decorated Knight stayed on to some effect when a good Kempton third and there should be plenty more to come from him. Presumably he'll be ready to go as a member of the Johnston team. Cotai Star has improved steadily on a run-by-run basis and finished a good second at Chelmsford latest. On that occasion he was only a head clear of BELLSTREET BRIDIE who came home strongly and Michael Bell's filly is now notably better off at the weights and also sports a first-time visor.
